This weekend, DW’s parents arrived to stay with us for two weeks. BB’s nounou is off for a month, so we’ve had to make other arrangements. Since both of us have to work at the moment, we need day care for BB three days a week - we were able to sort things out so that we could both take a day off a week to be with him.
Having DW’s parents here is a good thing and a bad thing. A good thing because we have day care at home for the next two weeks, a bad thing because things with the inlaws can be tense. They’re great people, but have quite a negative outlook on things. Everything is a disaster and BB whinging becmes a whole day of screaming. I’m worried that some of that tension is going to bleed off onto BB. Hoping that I can make up for it in the time I’m with him.
Today was a good writing day and I managed almost 3500 words - almost 1500 over my goal. I’ve started the next novella of the Phoenix Odyssey series - The Phoenix and the Hunters of the Hall - which is planned for release in January, I think. I also added a little to two short stories.
Writing on a small notebook during my lunch break at work is doing wonders for my word count and even got two colleagues asking about what I was doing. One offered to buy something when I go live in January, so cool!!
